Dental Implant Procedures Are The Gold Standard For The Permanent Replacement of Multiple Teeth

70+ million people in the U.S. are missing one or more teeth – that’s a huge percentage of the population!

In the past, many people opted for a bridge and dentures to repair their missing tooth. These treatments failed quickly as they require a lot of maintenance. Today, the treatment of choice for replacing missing teeth is dental implants, as they look and perform just like your natural teeth.

Smiling in pictures, the freedom to eat whatever foods you want and not having to ‘maintain’ your teeth are the top reasons our patients tell us they choose dental implants. What is your reason?

Benefits of Multiple Teeth Replacement with Dental Implants

Dental implants are placed into the bone; there is no artificial plastic on the roof of your mouth and there is no need for adhesives or denture creams, as with dentures or even partial dentures. Dental implants do not impact other healthy teeth in your mouth the way a dental bridge would.

You will also find that dental implants preserve your facial structure and help to maintain your appearance. When one tooth or multiple teeth are lost, the bone around the missing teeth begins to erode and weaken. Over time, this can result in the loss of other teeth and the deterioration of your dental health. When many teeth are missing, your jaw can experience atrophy, resulting in facial features that look sunken. You may experience premature wrinkling of the face.

By replacing missing teeth with dental implants, you will find that you can eat what you want, which will help you maintain proper nutrition for a healthy diet. You will experience confidence when chewing, smiling, speaking and a general feeling of enjoyment with the natural appearance of your dental implants supported teeth.

Candidates For Multiple Replacement with Dental Implants in Scottsdale AZ

Your start to a new smile is with Dr. Robert Guyette, Dr. Olga Smutko and their staff at Guyette Facial & Oral Surgery Center, located in both Scottsdale and Avondale. During your initial consultation, your doctor will determine if you are a good candidate for the dental implant procedure. They will examine your mouth and review x-rays, and may request a Cone Beam CT scan, which we have available in our Scottsdale office. Your doctor will review your medical history with you to see if there are any conditions that may prevent you from being a good candidate for dental implants.

If the dental implant procedure is the right choice for you, your surgical appointment will be scheduled. Most of our patients tell us that there is very little discomfort during the implant placement or following the procedure. A prescription for pain medication will be given as a preventative measure, to be taken as needed. Most of our patients return to work the next day without complications.

Dr. Guyette and Dr. Smutko work closely with your dentist to assure that the final restoration of the implant looks natural and beautiful. Contact our office today to get started on your new smile and view our dental implant before/after photos.
