Guyette Facial & Oral Surgery | Scottsdale, Phoenix, Avondale, AZ
The temporomandibular joint, or TMJ, is a small joint located in the front of the ear where the skull and lower jaw meet. It permits the lower jaw to move and function. TMJ disorders are not uncommon, and patients may complain of earaches, headaches and limited ability to open their mouth. Some people notice a clicking or popping sound when opening and closing their mouth.
As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Mark Beehner can determine the cause of the TMJ disorder. Since there is a range of treatment options, it is best to schedule a consultation with one of our board certified surgeons, and you’ll together put a plan in place that’s right for your situation.
